Updating from 1.17 to 1.18 is really simple, just shut down your server, backup your database, then make sure you to replace all the ckSurf files that come in the package, as many of them have had changes in them, and there are a few new files also. (addons/sourcemod/configs/ckSurf/custom_chat_titles.txt mainly).
Then launch one of your servers, and keep an eye out for the console, as it should change the map when all the required changes have been made into the database. On small databases this happens instantly, on larger databases it might take a while.
After you have waited for a long enough time, just join the server and it should be good to go.
EDIT: You can now follow the database being updated on the server console. Each step is printed into the console with the last one beign "[ckSurf] All changes succesfully done! Changing map!". After that message all changes have been made and it is safe to join the server.
