About the slap slay, you should not think about that i guess. That may be another problem.
I have two serveres the one i just reinstalled works fine, only the old one fails. (i have only changed the cvar on the old one) so when i got the reinstalled one back with all of my things, i will see if it works.

You don't have to reinstall the servers, just update them with hldsupdatetool if you're on Windows, or start them with the "-autoupdate" argument if you're on Linux.
