Re: Array/String

Let me know if this works. I still used bitsums because it makes it easier and uses less code. If you have any questions, just ask. There are natives that convert "abc" to the respective bitsum...

Re: Help with MySQL

You are enclosing the field AND value in quotes, you should only enclose the field; it should be 'Field'=NULL, not 'Field=NULL'. Quotes aren't really needed at all, unless there are spaces in the...

Re: Array/String

Not sure if I'm missing something here, but why not use a bitsum to store flags?

Untested:
new Vip_flags

public _create_vip_flag(plugin, argc) // native
{
new vflag[2] , sString[32]
...

Re: Small Help Code Optimization , If someone can optimize for me this code ^^

I added a condition just in case an invalid value is selected (< 0 or > 5). If you add songs, adjust this accordingly.

Re: Buy after x seconds.

You need client buy include/plugin by ConnorMcLeod: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=149380. This requires that you compile the client_buy plugin and add it to plugins.ini, then you are...

Re: Buy after x seconds.

Do you want to start the timer at new round, round start, or end of freeze time? And the blocking should occur at each round?

Re: [QUESTION]What is the difference betwen these functions

Resizing that array should have fixed it, assuming your server fills up with 32 players and this is when the error occurs.

Re: [QUESTION]What is the difference betwen these functions

Can you make this error, or is it happening randomly? I would do it myself but I'm not sure how this plugin is supposed to work.

Try logging what the id is right before it happens, or if you have...

Re: [QUESTION]What is the difference betwen these functions

Does your server support 32 players?

If so, change 32 to 33. You should use MAX_PLAYERS + 1 for all 'player' arrays. With it set to 32, index out of bounds would occur if there was a player on...

Re: [QUESTION]What is the difference betwen these functions

It means something else is wrong with the code, it has nothing to do with alive/connected. As you can see, is_user_alive() also checks pPlayer->ingame (is_user_connected()) before reaching the alive...

Re: [QUESTION]What is the difference betwen these functions

No, it means that when you use copy/formatex/format/client_print/get_user_name/get_user_authid etc, it expects strings in the non-packed format because that is how it was programmed.

Assume '1' is...

Re: [QUESTION]What is the difference betwen these functions

Bits can only be used for storing boolean values, or groups of smaller values-- ie. you can store 16 values between 0-3 within 1 cell. Char is good for storing ascii characters, or any values 0-255...

Re: [QUESTION]What is the difference betwen these functions

Because he is declaring the arrays as a packed string using the keyword 'char' after the size value which will reduce the number of cells that are allocated. This is beneficial because it uses every...

Re: About string question

This would actually be easiest with SQL. Don't be concerned about that, the data can be outputted into a text file or html in the format that you want for viewing.

Re: [HELP] Detect or block player healing events after drowning in water?

So either way works, but you could save a native call by using a high value (like 5000) instead of setting damage restored to the dmgtaken value. While it is technically more proper to set...

Re: [HELP] Detect or block player healing events after drowning in water?

Try your method out yourself, when you first get out of water you heal once before it is stopped. You may need to add +1 or something to fix that..or just use 500 :-B

Re: [HELP] Detect or block player healing events after drowning in water?

Suppose you used spawn health but there is a mod that gives additional health beyond spawn health? Simply setting the value to an unreachably high value is better and safer IMO.

Re: [HELP] Detect or block player healing events after drowning in water?

I thought about setting it at spawn as well but thought it was more relevant to set it when a heal attempt is made instead of setting it on every player every round. I went with 100 assuming no other...
