I wouldn't say a much better job, the only difference a plugin can do is deal with people who join spectators.
If you are moved to spec by the mp_ method then why would want to sit and watch...

There is a bug report for this. One solution maybe to remove the nexmap plugin and put it in the disabled folder.

Except not everyone has the webspace. Plus there is nothing wrong in game admin menu. It is a lot easier and you don't have to spend time setting it up, or leave game to update an admin
