i believe they use something similar to HLSW, there is no current emulators to create a physical lobby for players to enter for the local server that i know of.

autoexec runs by default and the problem would be the server is not up to date with the current changelog even if it did work with the updated clients "which it did for some time in the past".

you can run a listen server successfully to some extent for cm mode. otherwise you could try just connecting 10 players and see if the alternate slots obtain the proper id to gain ban/pick...

also i lied the latest still works with everything, i have no idea what changed in the recent patch but i just took afresh copy of dota 2 and applied all the previous settings and it seemed to remedy...

does it not launch the server or something if gc is not connected to or something. because you can run a local server and connect to it. i dont see why anyone else on a local network cant connect
