Couldn't someone have their fps_max set to 1000 or something, but only get 60? I don't think it's valid to use fps_max since that does not give you their actual FPS.

Duh. AMX-X obviously works for non-steam but we as a community do not condone writing plugins for supporting it.

I understand that. My point is there is no point in using name or IP... steam ID should be the ONLY unique player identifier that is used.

I don't agree with your argument. There's no reason why anyone should use anything but the steam id to store player-specific data. Only people who do not have steam would want this, which AMX-X does...

Classic debugging.. Start logging every single value until you see one that is not what you expect. I realize you identified the jump from 1073 to 4096, but there has to be other values you are not...

My guess is you may be reading extra bytes into a variable that specifies how many bytes to read, this would cause an unexpected jump.

If you could call it with an interval, set_task() would be fine. IIRC, it's expensive to create new tasks. Another option is to use a thinking entity.

It would be best to store the CSW_ weapon ID in the array instead of weapon name. Doing this, you can build an array to store info for each weapon, though you can get away with using the weapon name...
