Re: Advertisements 0.6 (Updated 2013/03/08)

You'll find the .smx amongst the other attached files, two lines below where you clicked.

Nevermind. I'm likely replying to a spambot.

Re: Advertisements 0.6 (Updated 2013/03/08)

Hello Wrangler, this plugin will suit your needs, as shown by the sm_advertisements_interval ConVar, providing an interval for which to show the messages defined by the config file.

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

Given that many server operators aren't developers too, they'd have no idea what user messages are, so your plugin would only be used by those of us who have sufficient knowledge. I'd recommend the...

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

Well there are plenty of RGB value lists on the web, and alpha is only transparency so one can pretty much use their imagination for that. :)

Whilst I'm here, I have a relatively quicker and...

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

Don't think it does. ParseAds() only gets called on command and OnMapStart(). The ad timer reads Kv pairs built from the parse.

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

@gH0sTy: Don't forget to check for tf_beta too.

Also, given strcopy(sColorCode, cEnd + 1, sText[cStart + 2]);, wouldn't the string write past its bounds (of 7 bytes) if the string between {# and }...

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

No offence Ryan, but you definitely need to understand cvars (Console Variables) better.
They all take the form <key> <value> and are used to change server and/or plugin settings from what they...

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

- The .smx file goes in [mod]/addons/sourcemod/plugins. Make sure this is loaded on the server in question.

- The config (advertisements.txt) goes in [mod]/addons/sourcemod/configs. Ensure this...

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

No offence to what you've done, but what have you edited that wasn't already available in the plugin? It looks like you've just edited cvars, which we can all edit anyway.

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

I'd guess that you'd download the package from that link, have #include <smlib> at the top of the plugin's code, and probably use something like the Color_ParseChatText() or Client_PrintToChat()...

Re: Advertisements 0.5.5

That include you gave doesn't look like it supports black - and it's one of the most popular of the colour-related includes. Any colours that do exist have likely all been implemented into this...
