limiting number of max queries isnt a good protection either as the attacker can simply delist your server by exceeding that number

anyway valve could only made the attack smaller but if you got a huge enough attack or as low as 300-400mb/s (as far as i know devnull achieved about that amount) can be enough to knock out a common...

omg are you freakin serious? DDOS is illegal too, altho there are shitload of botnets, pirating games is illegal too altho 90% of the people on the internet do it, sending out spam email is illegal...

its probably the same attack as the one that happened a few weeks ago to SRCDS servers, its probably a reflected attack with spoofed ip addresses. they spoof the ip address of the UDP packet and...
