Have you verified that the file was actually downloaded? Go to the folder and look for the file. (If it isn't there, its either your code's fault or L4D's fault. Last I read L4D didn't allow file...

lol, yes actually haha but it does nothing more than just draw a laser sprite. No extra damage or any vapourisation.

Oh speaking of which, does anyone if the hl2 vapourisation effect is available...

Nope, everytime you fire a bullet, it will draw a laser from your gun to the point where the bullet hit something. :)
