You need to set up the call as a thiscall for one. Look at how the CThrow::ActivateAbility detour is set up. Or, heck, 90% of our detours...

I believe I have fixed everything in L4DT2 that was broken. You can compile from source from our goooglecode project now. I'll try producing some working builds soon.

I don't offer support for playerslots in left4downtown2 anymore. My official recommendation is that you use l4dtoolz and l4dtoolz only.

If you only want to set a CVar once on start, you should be able to add +cvar_name cvar_value to your srcds launch parameters.
