That shouldn't be a problem, SourceBans has been supporting the STEAM_1 format for 4 years, back when L4D1 was released with it (Valve changed it back to STEAM_0 after a lot of complaints).

I don't see the point in requiring an extension or writing custom connect messages for such a non-issue, but anyone is free to do either of those things on their server if they see it as a problem.

It's impossible to detect whether they're an admin until they are fully connected, so it's not a bug. If your admins are kicking higher level admins then you can't trust them and they shouldn't be...

It wouldn't break, but if you decide to unban one of those permanent bans from SourceBans, you would have to remove it manually from the CFG.

When you hover over the question mark next to it, it clearly says it's for hiding it from any public server lists.
