Re: Fall duck

Hey ed. I wrote the plugin a decade ago so currently I actually do not even have Steam installed on any hardware I have access to. I, however, rewrote this plugin for you. I emphasize it is totally...

Re: for loop question

You are obviously wrong. JIT-compiled Java is and will always be significantly slower than any considerable compiled language such as C. I am not saying one should not use Java just because there are...

Re: for loop question

If you say so. But even if I had said exactly that loops without breaks are linear code, I do not think that it would have been very wise to assume my meaning to be that anyway. If I said that two...

Re: heal and pack strings

Very true. That does not however take purpose from my post as I simply replied to what the title clearly showed he wanted help with.

Re: for loop question

I know the thread focused on loops in general ( is that not obvious? ) and that is exactly why I pointed out your commenting on Java loops unnecessary. Duh.

That is not a silly statement at all if...

Re: heal and pack strings

Pawn supports packing strings. You can read more from the differences of packed and unpacked strings from The Pawn Language Guide (http://compuphase.com/pawn/Pawn_Language_Guide.pdf).

Re: for loop question

That would be yes.

Never do this.

You are in the point of the issue, do not listen to her though, that is just typical false reasoning.

But there is a problem, a huge.

There are...

Re: Constant in if statements?

I use public only when needed ( when the function/variable is called from somewhere else than the specific plugin ) and stock only in include files ( few exceptions ). I disagree with Fysiks at least...

Re: [HOW TO] Retrieve random values from an array without retreiving the same twice

I remembered the increment was never done but at least now it seems it is done. I can verify a bug in compilers because at least the values the expression returns are rubbish. I would though not be...

Re: Hud Admin Check Problem

You just made it worse, nikhilgupta. You need to use the index "player" in the get_user_flags native as well. You also switched the places of "[vip]" and "[admin]" opers which was obviously wrong.

Re: Hud Admin Check Problem

You should use "player" instead of "id" inside the loop.

Re: How to catch that player jump into the water.

Even though he used the expression jump to water, he does not mean that the player actually has to jump. I am sure the splash sound should come if you just fall from a roof to water.

Re: How to catch that player jump into the water.

That is exactly what you want, you just do not know how to use it. In a player getting water is two subsequent occasions, the first one is that player is not in water and the second is that he is in...

Re: How to catch that player jump into the water.

It depends whether you want the splash sound to come only in deep water or also from a little puddle. Just notice that there is not a straight forward for this, you how probably have to check some...
