Well, I tried my (Windows XP) server last night, for the first time since the update. After a huge update, it fired up, and then I connected and was happily playing with my 5 player campaign mod.

It's running now thanks!

But the mods to allow more than 4 players are no longer working :(

eg: with a server.cfg with:-
sm_cvar survivor_limit 5
sm_cvar z_max_player_zombies 18...

Don't know I'm afraid. I would have got what ever version was the standard version to use around six weeks ago when I did the install of my server!?

Looking around I can see loads of versions here...

On my Windows XP machine, I've applied the metamod files and when I attempt to run my L4D2 server, it now seems to get much further before crashing.

I'm afraid I don't know where to look for any...

So since the L4D2 update, you've applied a new version of metamod? Got a link to that? Is it just an unzip installation, or do you need to reconfigure stuff (again) afterwards?

Has the problem with the latest L4D2 release been resolved? Is there a new version of metamod to install?

Can I just unzip something into my L4D2 server installation and all will work OK again? Or...
