I have tested it on Linux and can confirm it works properly with both new system libgcc_s and libstdc++ and also the old libraries bundled with the dedicated server. So seems fully resolved, thanks!

Ah yes, you are right. I see the bundled libstdc++ only has up through 3.4.16, which is GCC 4.6.1 from 2011. I guess Valve never updated after doing the initial porting back then.

Presumably your glibc is rather old. On Debian 10 (buster) if I run this:

nm -gD /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 | grep GLIBCXX

It lists starting from 3.4 all the way up to 3.4.25.

In that case it's probably specific to my server configuration, maybe the 96hz tickrate (for which I corrected frame wait from 3 to 10) is slow enough when firing incapped, perhaps in combination...

What I remember from old version is that both animation and sound is only bugged for the player shooting, when other people hold LMB with pistols it works fine. So the way you implemented this fix...

Just a little fyi: today a horde spawned close and the bot threw the pipebomb at the perfect moment, 2 seconds later would have been too late for sure! So timer 3 seconds is a better setting imo.

Heads-up, I was having big issues with scavenge on my server, gas cans didn't glow or respawn and were not the orange colour, instead just standard red. It turns out this version causes this....
