you will find that the updater.ext is apart of the sourcemod installation itself. It is an extension and not a plugin.

The updater.smx is a plugin.

To fix the issue I'd look at your...

This isn't a part of the Updater plugin but apart of Sourcemod itself.

Just pushed an update with the version #0.3.3a and getting warmod.smx.temp files on a few servers. change the #0.3.31 and seems to work now. Not sure if it was just because the update plugin updated...
