Re: SourceBans 1.4.8 (Updated 2011/03/12)

Re: SourceBans 1.4.6 (Updated 12/23/09)

That actually makes sense: a hijacked Server can't add new SourceBans-enabled Admin to fuck things up, thus the only way to fuck things up via SourceBans is to get into the Site.

Re: SourceBans 1.4.6 (Updated 12/23/09)

Somehow I was in impression that diff databases are used for each thing but it'd be foolish, now that I can think again.

Re: SourceBans 1.4.6 (Updated 12/23/09)

Why not "just" drop the database ?

Yes.

Re: SourceBans 1.4.6 (Updated 12/23/09)

That might work but if not for the rest of future use, he could use cron to execute that command each specific time or write an ES which executes it at specific time.

Re: SourceBans 1.4.6 (Updated 12/23/09)

How about putting the command to "/cfg/sourcemod/sourcemod.cfg" ?

Re: SourceBans 1.4.6 (Updated 12/23/09)

Glad it's figured already :)

As for the permissions not staying, it would seem like the FTP Server Software or the Operating System on the Machine was too busy to take care of it by then, or it...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.6 (Updated 12/23/09)

Re: SourceBans 1.4.6 (Updated 12/23/09)

I know almost nothing about SQL but what happens when you omit the "ORDER BY" part completely ?

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

According to MySQL Forum, that error means you're trying to connect to the MySQL Server whose bind address have changed from what it used to be.

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

I don't know how that relates to SourceBans. Anyways, my FastDL Host is in USA and our Game Servers in London and no problems with it, so I dare to say there's either network problems or machine...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

Did you try to look at the ban details ? If you did, what did you get ?

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

So far, Sourcebans doesn't work for us at all: it can't query the Servers and all banneds get in. If it makes any diff, the files are on a 1&1 webspace while the database is on www.freemysql.net....

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

Argh, even SourceBans requires straight connection to mySQL database which I don't have, and the web interface is made to not connect. Grrrr.

So that's the last SQL database-based Addon I've found...
