with that internet speed you can forget about CS server, better buy VPS hosting... because no one good player will play with such rates ...

Most cvar which affects CPU is sv_maxupdaterate ... sys_ticrate 300 max... sv_minupdaterate 10 sv_maxupdaterate 35 best settings for server with csdm, public u can make sys_ticrate 1000...

In last build of hlds mmtimer is not working... and i have lags (fps 30-700 when sys_ticrate 1100)...

i have 3ghz , 2gb ram , win xp , some tweaking and have no lag server csdm war3 + many plugins, mysql and others and play with no lag too... on one core set hlds.exe on another core of cpu set hl.exe...
