I do need to give credit where credit is due. Geit showed me steam's openID system and at first I was using the same IP/Lookup system that inflikted has. One problem you might run into with IP lookup...

I'm working on a system now that uses steam's OpenID (http://steamcommunity.com/dev) system to pull all of the info you need for a donations system. Users don't have to do anything but login to steam...
