NULL_STRING has an undefined value, so you can't depend on it being an empty string. Better use an empty string "" right away!

That line is about virtual hooks using SourceHook. The example gamedata uses a detour, so it's using a different code path.

Are you sure the function you're trying to block is the one causing the bots to be kicked? I don't see why the original function wouldn't be skipped.

You have to reimplement the logic / fix the errors yourself. The tool is only meant to give you an idea of what's happening in the plugin, not modify them.

No, it works fine on newer versions. You have to compile locally and can't use the online compiler due to the custom include files.

What's not working correctly? Without looking at the function you're trying to detour itself, it looks like you're using the wrong calling convention for a member function. Try thiscall.

Yeah, it's not the "casting" using view_as<> that's causing your weird behavior, but the comparison afterwards. true is equivalent to 1 and false to 0. So you compared the address of the enum struct...

The enum struct is initialized to 0 like all arrays. Calling IsValid() first without setting Edict will result in true being returned, since the "worldspawn" (entity 0) doesn't have a targetname set...
