I tried validating the server's files with app_update 232250 validate in SteamCMD and that fixed it for me.

Token is in autoexec.cfg and no addons are running on the server at the moment.

If you don't want bots at all, and have access to the server's command line, add the command: -nobots

But it's this I'm having trouble with. I am crashing as well when I add plugins that use KeyValues handles, but I can't say for sure...

I used 1.8 since it worked on CS:GO/TF2/HL2DM, so I just assumed there wouldn't be as much difference.
