Basically you have to parent an env_spritetrail to the player upon spawn or when you pick a trail. With env_spritetrail you can specify a vmt material which means the trail can be a repeating picture.

Just removed even more garbage and also the plugin only do the post think hook when a player has the random option on.

EDIT:

TIMER_DATA_HNDL_CLOSE gave an error so I changed back to...

Okay so it seems like it happens every minute or two and it lasts for like 10 seconds. Or maybe when you change class. Idk.
