I too have seen this exploited on vanilla valve servers since atleast 2015 now that Back 4 Blood is out might be time to finally put L4D2 to rest and let it rot

maybe someone is injecting unicode into the data streams (voice/chat/sprays) if you disable both on your server the crashes will stop I did on mine

I was finally able to reproduce what Bugs did in that screenshot they put in computer instructions in the chatbox which when sent to the server got executed how pathetic and paired with voicedata it...

putting the min and maxrate higher would allow players to flood the server???
making the server need to work extra hard so the logic is actually out the window

these settings are actually direct...

@SentinelOne you said SIRPLEASE does not drop under 100 but Xbye or whatever his name is says his will drop all the way down to 50 or 60 on a SIRPLEASE server

the cmd sm_r to switch it to realism conflicts with confogl ready up plugin where players mark themself as ready

might post a changed version that turns sm_r into sm_realism to avoid the conflict

could probley add some code that hides rcon passwords but if anyone actually uses rcon in 2020 might need to be made aware that rcon is in plain text with no encryption and by far not the best option...
