You may want to do what I did with Whack-A-Pubby and if its TF2 have a default health value to restore people to. The damage amount is never sent in the player_hurt event in TF2.

In your server.cfg set whackapubby_enabled to 0 and then use sm_cvar to set it to 1 when ever you want to give it a spin.

Ok, that explains it. I was placing much more value on them thinking they were the things that registered the damage with the server instead of just client notifications.
