No. LANG_PLAYER is only used when the first argument is zero (0).

The escape character only works in code not when passed as an argument (it's just plain text at that point).

It has no direct relation to menus. You use it like it's shown in the first post. It's a client_print(id, print_chat, "text here") replacement.

You can use it for what ever plugin you want but remember that it's for chat messages only and that there are only a few available colors.
