ABM manages the teams and bots/players but it doesn't focus or have the functionality to actually open up player slots that dictates which amount of actual players the server lets in.

Sorta. I still use ABM as my main survivor/infected manager.
Since the TLS update the main ABM version in the first post is outdated and unstable.
I made a fork of it for post-TLS....

ABM doesn't have functionality to fix these 3 bugs. But Lux has made a group of plugins called Left 4 Fix that do.

Oh, okay.
Unfortunately, your method is the only one that works with you and your friends.
Also, ABM by itself doesn't really change the active survivor set.

I saw a few people complain about...

Enforcing L4D2 voices and ensuring the game code treats both survivor sets as seperate characters on every single map is possible with DeathChaos25's forceset...

For me, it's personal preference, and history.

Multislots, SuperVersus and such didn't work for me in my early days of using server plugins.
Then ABM was the only one that worked, and so I stuck...

I'm a bit too lazy/unknowledgeable to recommend, and I don't keep good tabs on the plugins I use...

Did you check the abm_offertakeover cvar?
0: Off 1: Survivors 2: Infected 3: All

Also, you should replace the gamedata and the plugin from the original post with mine....

Here's the gamedata of ABM with fixed TakeoverZombieBot signature for The Last Stand update.

Put it into sourcemod/gamedata and replace if needed.
