I really dislike that the uber effect wears off rather than staying until the bind is pressed again to deactivate it on yourself.

What I mean is re-writing it to be .smx rather than .amxx since I already know .amxx doesn't work with source.

I understand what they mean, when I was on a server sm_aia was permanent, it never drained nor reloaded constantly.
