I have no idea about your distro but yes it does just download the file as it contains both windows and linux binaries :)

I was wondering if anyone was getting this error on custom maps using CSS:DM ?

The error is: ED_Alloc: no free edicts

and then goes on to:

None of the menus work with the new steam update u need to get the latest version which is windows only. If your linux you may have to wait until some kind linux coder can convert it for us :)
