root? ROOT? Please tell me you're not trying to connect to MySQL over the Internet as root and there's an error in your databases.cfg file causing that to show up in the error log...

Instead of apt-get install lib32z1, I'd recommend
apt-get install ia32-libswhich will install all the 32-bit compatability libraries. This works for both Debian...

When you update SourceMod, you should follow the Upgrading SourceMod (http://wiki.amxmodx.org/Upgrading_SourceMod) directions and not just replace all the files in your addons directory.

Is it possible to update SourceBans to log bans made by other plugins through BanClient and BanIdentity (via the OnBanClient and OnBanIdentity hooks)?
