The stat name would be different per game, if the game even has a stat for that. CS:GO does - the name you'd use is "total_time_played". The easiest way to look up stat types defined for a game are...

It will always return the language that the game is actually using. Note that some supported games always use the Steam UI langauge, ignoring the game-specific value.

I don't think that's true anymore. I believe 64-bit support was added in master for some cases, CS:GO on macOS being one of them, since CS:GO on Mac is only available as 64-bit binaries now.

Something is still wrong with your steamclient binary regardless if you're getting those errors. It's actually possible that L4D1 just ships with a very, very old one, maybe from before that...

Since it internally uses a callback instead of a callresult, it's possible that something else is eating the callbacks before the SteamWorks extension can see them, like the SteamTools extension or...

If there's a good use case for that information in plugins, it sounds better suited toward SM itself, as that information is obtainable via the engine interface, rather than needing to use anything...

That is causing all GSClientGroupStatus_t callbacks to be eaten. It's not really your fault though. It can't be used with the CallResult API due to it predating it and not giving a SteamAPICall_t.

It's also exposed via that API function that SteamTools uses. I didn't claim that Valve was perfect.


The profile and group xml data (xml=1 GET param) has indeed been noted at deprecated 2-3...

And all KyleS and I were saying is that they bypass users' explicit privacy controls and give inaccurate results in some cases anyway.

I made that plugin long before the issues were known and haven't supported it in years anyway.

It's not an option if you want accurate results. Also, no XML is needed if you use the Steam Web API.

You can get a list of a user's group in keyvalues format pretty easily,...

The Steamworks API for game servers that this extension uses only has access to a flawed check for that (the same one that SteamTools uses).

No. The Ship's steam_api is waaaaay too old. You'll have to just use the web api instead.
