Just letting the developers and community know. The ConVar checker will ban everyone with a false-positive. Unless it's just my servers that did it.

I don't have any extended mute plugins, but somehow a player is always muted no matter what he does.

Unfortunate. The development branches always worked, after an engine update broken SM for CS:S you guys would update it and it would work for GMod again. Well I guess I have to work without it.

I let my config file regenerate and edited it from scratch and I have the muting values correct but dead mute seems to be broken now - as in it isn't muting players who die.

Dead mute works for me still. I haven't changed anything at all on my server even since the update.

One problem which I'm not sure if it's sm_hosties causing it but sometimes CTs are not unmuted...

Dead mute now works great, rev. 58. I'm using it on my public server and I haven't encountered any problems. Hopefully you can add a feature to mute all players upon joining the server like...
