I think the problem is that when the last player disconnects, the server automatically sets the server to a new map by default. This issue might be specific to L4D/2 (haven't tested other games).

Yeah, but I still had sound issues myself and I installed it just 1-2 years back (those fixes posted where from 2012). Maybe someone else can play test it for a while - I don’t have any test servers...
