Re: SourceBans 1.4.8 (Updated 2011/03/12)

What I would really like (in addition to the modification above) is an option to turn on dual Steam ID/IP banning so that and IP would be banned along with a steam ID whenever and in-game ban is...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.8 (Updated 2011/03/12)

How big is too big?

My admins.cfg file that is loaded by Sourcebans on map change is about 188k. I suspect this is occasionally causing the server to hang during map change.

My question...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.7 (Updated 08/22/10)

OK...I changed the Sourcebans IP address in the database.cfg so that the game server could not connect, and restarted using the plugin above. It appeared all my admin functions were operational, so...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.7 (Updated 08/22/10)

Quick question:

We've had a couple of instances recently where our remote database server went down. I thought that if the game servers lost the database connection they would simply pull the...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.7 (Updated 08/22/10)

I'm getting the following errors when clicking on the "admins" page since upgrading:

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

Thanks DJ...that fixed the server info issue. Is there any fix for the fact that web bans now take 3-5 minutes to go through?

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

This may or may not be related to the fact that ever since upgrading to 1.4.5 (from 1.4.2) web bans take anywhere from 3-5 minutes to go through, but I noticed today that the info box on the blocked...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

Actually, that's not the issue. The number of servers/configuration of our hardware did not change between 1.4.2 and 1.4.5. The only change that was made was upgrading Sourcebans.

Re: SourceBans 1.4.5 (Updated 09/17/09)

Has anyone else noticed that bans added via the web interface are now painfully slow with the new version?

EDIT: Just an update on this...web bans that (up until the latest version) had taken just...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.4 (Updated 07/29/09)

Here's a question...

How big is too big for the number of admins before it will start degrading server performance?

Our file is already too big to allow the system to do the "live push" (it...

Re: SourceBans 1.4.2 (Updated 03/30/09)

I have a kind of a unique problem...

We have grown to quite a large network of servers, and have almost 1000 donators/players in our admin database who donate for a reserved slot.

Don't run insecure serves and you won't have that problem.

Re: SourceBans (1.4.1) (UPDATE)

This isn't urgent, as it doesn't seem to be negatively affecting the server...but one of our new CS:S server I just setup is loading the entire admin file twice every time the map reloads/server...

Re: SourceBans (1.4.1) (UPDATE)

Good deal. I didn't think it was major, as it didn't seem to affect performance at all.

I would like to reiterate how smoothly the upgrade process went, and how invaluable this tool has become to...

Re: SourceBans (1.4.1) (UPDATE)

Ok...upgrade went smoothly. Thanks for all your hard work.

It seems like everything is functioning correctly on the TF2 servers, with exception of this error in the logs:

Re: SourceBans (1.4.1) (UPDATE)

If I'm upgrading from Sourcebnas 1.2 to 1.4.1, do I need to re-do all (26) of my Sourcebans.cfg files?

The reason I ask, is that I noticed in the new Sourcebans.cfg that the line:

// Server...

Re: SourceBans (1.3.5) (UPDATE)

I've been running into an interesting error ever since adding a dozen L4D servers to our Sourcebans system.

Every now and then, I'll start getting a "Too Many Connections" error from Sourcebans...

Re: SourceBans (1.3.5) (UPDATE)

Gee...no kidding.

I thought that had been handled by Sourcemod v1.2 though.

Re: SourceBans (1.3.5) (UPDATE)

Again...any reason why people who are banned on our TF2 servers are not being kept out of our L4D servers? SB is saying they are "Not Banned" in the logs, when they in fact ARE.

Re: SourceBans (1.3.5) (UPDATE)

For some reason, bans are not working. A player that is banned in our database (and which...

Re: SourceBans (1.3.5) (UPDATE)

Got it working...for some reason, on a L4D server, admins were not loaded until the first player joined the server (probably due to the "hibernation mode" it puts inactive server into, I guess).

Re: SourceBans (1.3.5) (UPDATE)

One more question before I donate...will Sourcebans 1.2 work with L4D? It does everything we need it to do, so we really haven't seen the need to go through the whole upgrade process.
