The bug in SM is throwing an error for OpenDirectory("") and not DirExists(""). Both should be errors. The plugin asking if the directory "" exists makes no sense. "" is not a valid directory name...

There will not be a 1.6.4 release. The 1.6-dev branch may get gamedata updates still for some period of time, but is otherwise inactive.

Database is the name of the new methodmap for database handles (https://sm.alliedmods.net/new-api/dbi/Database). It cannot be used as a variable name (and wouldn't have been in the most common naming...

That is correct; not all SM includes are using the transitional syntax yet. It is optional, and there is little benefit to updating them just for the sake of updating them, rather than spending time...

The plugin version in that post and the line number of the error pasted in that post do not match. It's hard to tell where your issue lies. Regardless, I would at least recommend using the SB 1.5.0...

You're focusing on the wrong word in "officially released". There have been progressive 1.7.0-dev builds since mid last year. This is the feature-complete, stable release of 1.7.0.

It gives you the damage amount after game logic makes adjustments to it (from critical hits, armor, other damage...
