I've been eliminating some errors I've had with recompiling with the latest SM version 1.6.1 (latest snapshot)..not sure if its something major or just something that should have been done from time...

Yep I've never had issues here before with Avast and seems I had a check over night and it picked up the game.tf2.ext.2.tf2.dll file as a Win32:Evo-gen[Susp]

Very strange as to why all of a sudden...

Just don't upgrade it and it shouldn't, I've altered my basecomm plugin and carried it over and all is still well. I figure I'll do the changes to the new one when I get a chance. Mostly to avoid the...

Follow this method.. https://wiki.alliedmods.net/Upgrading_SourceMod

You do not need to touch any of the configs let alone databases.cfg so just follow that and you will be ok.
