Edit: It's still crashing, I tried both builds stable 923 and dev 952. I made sure the vdf was correct.

I deleted the updater when I was recently cleaning up my computer, and with the newest metamod in the TF2Server\tf\Addons and the same in the SteamApps\common\Team Fortress...

Make sure you get the metamod version for your OS
Make sure your server is updated
Make sure metamod & sourcemod are updated
