Ah ok, thanks for that. How would I go about setting it up for HLDS to work though? I don't get why I can't connect to the server.

It's using my regular IP from my regular connection and not the IP from the virtual adapter. Is it supposed to do that?

Yep, on the bottom in network adapters it shows "Adapter 1 (NAT): IP: (IP is here) cable connected". I noticed that no matter what I put for +ip, it just keeps my regular IP address from my modem.
