no this is totally different...
you are talking about pak02_dir.vpk in the left4dead2 folder...
that is for l4d1 models and materials [AKA l4d2 addon_support tool]
place the melee unlock...

ok I've attatched a newly built pak02_dir.vpk in zip format... hope that helps.
Place in your update folder.
Make sure to remove any previous melee_unlock vpk files from addon folder...
and...

yes they did, only for:
update\pak01_dir.vpk
left4dead2_dlc1\pak01_dir.vpk
left4dead2\pak01_dir.vpk
[and steam.inf]...
so the vpk i upped should be in the clear... but thanks 77. :P

Yeah man... you need to notepad++hack the pak01_dir.vpk in left4dead2 and left4dead2_dlc1 to prevent the ones in those from loading... then it will load the one from yer addon.vpk. Check my post...

hey man, couldn't you try just adding Bill's talker and add only what was included with the passing for the other 3 survivors... that way yer only adding a few sounds... would this work?

ok. did some heavy testing to find out what is causing the overflow error.
It is definitely related to the talker files.
I've tried a combination of vpk builds and even broke them down into smaller...

it does matter.
since you are using the original file names they will override the official ones... by updating the terror_player.txt #includes, will allow the original l4d2 file to load PLUS your...
