Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (3.0.0alpha)

Indeed, the crash I ran across was when I was testing it with MM:S 1.8 + SM 1.3.

I got the latest SM 1.3 snapshot and it started working fine. So I'm guessing it was just some bug in the earlier...

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (3.0.0alpha)

I would use the one in the first post.

The reason for the file size difference is because the debug build contains debugging information that would be useful if the server crashed in order to...

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (2.4.0beta+2.1)

sfPlayer, your current debug build is far more stable than the current "stable" version. Let me know when you feel ready to release the next version of Sockets. KAC is going to need it when I do...

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (2.4.0beta+2.1)

Indeed, which is why I've opted to switch to UDP in the next update to KAC which will be quite a huge one.

Also, one of my beta testers got this nice and weird error.

And hey, I wouldn't...

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (2.4.0beta+2.1)

Indeed, I know the limitations of UDP.

But its either that or have 1000+ TCP connections. >.>

TCP is nice if you wanna make sure that everything got there. But I mean you could recreate a TCP...

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (2.4.0beta+2.1)

It logs the Socket creation stuff into SourceMod's error logs. Which is getting fairly annoying at this point. :P

I am planning a rework of KAC that will also be focusing on using Sockets for a...

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (2.4.0beta+2.1)

Does your current debug only log socket creations?

Hrm, some socket errors.

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (2.4.0beta+2.1)

I will be testing out your debug build.

Your latest stable one is giving my plugin errors.

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (2.4.0beta+2.1)

Re: [EXTENSION] Socket (2.3.1)

Native "SocketConnect" reported: Invalid hostname specified (must not be empty)

Thats your problem, you didn't configure IRC correctly. The hostname isn't valid.
