It makes perfect sense that you are getting errors using the first code snippet.

new szName[32];
get_user_name(id, szName[10], charsmax(szName));

szName has 32 cells but in get_user_name...

Re: Indexing a string inside a native will cause outbounds?

The first one can produce an index out of bounds error since you pass the entire array size as 3rd param but the string is smaller because it is sliced.

The second one looks fine.

Are you...

Re: FreeGameGuard v1.1 By Doron Bachar

Don't bother. Every few months he'll post "something version something by Doron Bachar" and never explain what it actually is or what it does.

Re: [MySQL] Return function

No, it is not correct. Let me try to explain again using your code:

new VarTest

public SqlGetUserIndex(id)
{
SQL_ThreadQuery(handle, "_SqlGetUserIndex", "SELECT id FROM users WHERE authid...

Re: [MySQL] Return function

You should mention that this will execute the queries in synchronous/blocking mode which will block the main thread until the query is completed. Generally, this isn't something you want to do.

Re: Return integer from mysql handler function

The function can not return anything useful because when it returns the results may not be available. The function is non-blocking, it puts a request saying that you want the query to be executed but...

Re: Block event/forward default procedure

You can use register_message to hook events as pre and block. Fakemeta/hamsandwich hooks can be blocked when hooked as pre.

However, blocking something does not guarantee things will work as you...

Re: [ReAPI] Advanced slot reservation

People in this topic sound like a broken record, but Shadows Adi also did a poor job explaining why steamid can't be used at this point. This isn't a matter of supporting no steam, during...

Re: Entity Resources Replacement[ V 1.4 ]

Are you using cl_minmodels by any chance? If models are being downloaded then the plugin is reading them correctly.

Re: 3 Dimensional array using ArrayCreate()?

"Bring fast and efficient DYNAMIC storage". As I said before, dynamic means the array is dynamically allocated on the heap and can be resized if full, to make space for more elements. Normal arrays...

Re: 3 Dimensional array using ArrayCreate()?

Not sure what you read or where you read it, but this is completely wrong. Looping over a "normal" array or a dynamic array has the same asymptotic complexity of O(array size) because you have to...

I'm not sure what you are asking, the spawn points are validated as much as possible already.
If you have a certain map in mind where bad spawn points are generated, attach it.

Also, it would be...

For the warnings:

g_fHudPos[HudPosY] = _:str_to_float(szHudPosY)

This is a compiler issue because it ignores the fact that HudPosX is tagged at...

Re: How far can pawn programming take you

This is a very broad question and I think you are approaching this in the wrong way. It seems you want to be able to write code without actually learning to write code.

What do you actually want...

While learning, especially at the beginning, copy-pasting is perfectly fine as long as you try to understand the code. Just don't pretend it is yours, use copy-pasting solely as a learning technique.
