Re: Indexing a string inside a native will cause outbounds?

To clarify, are you still getting the error with the second code with the subtraction? I don't see how you'd get an error with this (second code).

Re: Indexing a string inside a native will cause outbounds?

It makes sense to me. Are you possibly defining the same variable, that is sized differently, globally and locally, accidentally?

Re: [MySQL] Return function

Not sure what the standard method means, but you want to avoid using an execute query as it will cause lags, if this is what you are referring to.

I gave you an idea in my code snippet. You can...

Re: [MySQL] Return function

No, because immediately after calling SqlGetUserIndex(), you are expecting to have the return value from the threaded query. As HamletEagle said, the query is asynchronous, meaning you can think if...

Re: get_user_origin

Check that the target ID is within the valid player ID range before doing anything (1 to get_maxplayers()).

Re: program for coding amxx plugins

Been using AMX-X Studio for 15 years and have very few complaints.

At one point in time I considered learning Delphi just so I can fix the minor things I don't like.

Re: Save String Array

I think you're pretty close.

The missing part is you need a 2-dimension array so that each players name can be stored. Your current code would make each player overwrite the next.
You do...

Re: adminhelp error invalid id

Post some more info.

What else are you running on your server?
Which specific command caused the error? amx_help or amx_searchcmd

I've used this command for years and have never had an issue.

Re: Server crashing for no reason?

IIRC, the server will crash without errors if you call precache_model() on a file that does not exist. Is this potentially your problem?

Re: get_maxplayers()

It returns the maximum numbers of players that your server currently supports, between 1 and 32. In HLDS, this is set on the main screen in the 'Max. players' field.

I personally rarely, if ever,...

Re: Weapon damage won't multiplier, Ham_TakeDamage, SetHamParamFloat

I think his problem is the variables in each condition. All you did was change the multiplier from hard-coded to cvar, which will not solve his issue.

Re: Weapon damage won't multiplier, Ham_TakeDamage, SetHamParamFloat

The ham hook and ham forward look ok. But I do not want to read through this entire plugin to figure out why the variables in the ham hook are not set as you expect. What code did you modify from the...

That code looks fine aside from horrible indentation. We'd need to see the rest of your code.

Re: Run time error 4: index out of bounds

No, bots and players can only have a player index between 1 and 32. The only way to get the player index to be -1 is if some other plugin is creating a fake/custom deathmsg, and setting the player id...

Re: Run time error 4: index out of bounds

You can also add the filtering to your DeathMsg event hook and leave your eDeath() event as it was.

register_event("DeathMsg", "eDeath", "a", "1>0, "1<33", "2>0", "2<33")

But I'd find the...

Re: Tag Mismatch - ReAPI

g_iBPAAmmo[] wants the CSW_ weapon ID as the index.

In the for loop in your original post, w holds the CSW_ weapon index.

Re: Run time error 4: index out of bounds

It doesn't make any sense that you are getting an error on g_buried being its sized at 33. Did you modify anything?

And moved to scripting help

Re: Run time error 4: index out of bounds

You can call remove_task() without first checking task_exists(). task_exists() is really to be used if you need to know if a task exists, here you just want it removed.

public eDeath()
