Unless you input a handle that has to be destroyed explicitely (like a Trie), no additional work has to be done.
You have to free handlers on your own, the module can't do it for you. It applies to...

I am aware of that it exists there, but calls to engine/game dll functions via Metamod plugins aren't propagated to other Metamod plugins IIRC. That's why for example you can't hook FM_PrecacheModel...
