After a short investigation, it seems to be an issue on MSI's side. It not only crashes with SPEdit, but on any other 64bit WPF application. I don't know if it helps, but perhaps try to disable...

Hi guys,

I promised to release another SPEdit version for christmas this year. I want to keep this promise.
It will mostly a bugfix update BUT it will have translations for the program....

Could you reinstall SPEdit and if this not works your whole .NET? In theory this cannot happen for you alone. If this Bug exists, it should be on every machine. (The binds are static-programmed in)

Uhhrgg yes this is bad behaviour.
You could workaround this. Just finish the string ("") and then write into it. The Reformatter will detect it as a string and leave it how you've written it.
