Re: Is more than 32 players possible ?

Re: How is avatar getting retrieved in scoreboard?

Avatars are retrieved using the Steamworks API:
The image id is retrieved using ISteamFriends: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/source-sdk-2013/blob/master/mp/src/public/steam/isteamfriends.h#L288...

Re: Question creating an entity "classname"

CreateNamedEntity creates an instance of a particular entity, then you change its classname to another one to make everything think it's something different.

If you try to create say...

Re: Open Source Half-Life Engine

Somebody at Valve accidentally removed a couple games from packages and caused games to disappear from people's games list. Mods were also affected. They undid the changes, you can check it on...

Re: Open Source Half-Life Engine

The only changes i see were to correct the removal of the games from some of the packs. It broke a bunch of stuff. Steam hasn't downloaded anything either.

Re: GoldSrc games update

I spent the better part of a year trying to convince them. Either they don't care enough to do it or something/somebody is preventing them from doing it.

Re: GoldSrc games update

Valve will only fix critical bugs. Even if every server is running chat plugins that are now broken, it's still not critical. If you can prove that this can be abused to crash clients then yes, it...

Re: Open Source Half-Life Engine

So far we only know of 2 fixes: a format string attack and a server crash exploit involving weapon dropping.
I'm guessing they're putting their development environment together and pushing out a...

Re: Open Source Half-Life Engine

We don't know, they haven't said anything about that. Given that the reason not to provide support was that it takes engineering cycles and that their repository was lost that may change now, since...

Re: Sven Co-op 5.0 gamedata thread

Do keep in mind that even if you get the offsets right unless AMX and scripts that access those members are updated to use EHANDLEs it will crash.

Open the server Linux library in IDA, then look for the string that represents the variable you need. Then look for its references until you find the right one, it'll contain the Linux specific byte...
