what is your sourcemod version?
Did you have errors in sourcemod error.log like this: "[SM] Unable to load plugin "sourcecomms.smx": Native "__FLOAT_LT__" was not found" ?

also sourcecomms still work with sm 1.7, but sourcebans plugin doesn't recognize me as admin with it.

get your sourcebans files from backup (i think you did it?), and try to install sourcecomms again with greater accuracy.

Sourcecomms isn't a reason of connection loss, it's just correctly checks mysql connection (sourcebans plugin doesn't do this!) and logging errors.
