Lux, I think I found the closest answer to a more proper leg view:

1. New position of the cloned legsview_as<float>({-12.5, 0.0, 0.0}) -> If slightly off, change -12.5 to any value that is not...

I just had a thought. Why not keep the lower half of the clone model intact while bending the upper half to prevent it from clipping? It's probable, not impossible.
