Super late but whatever
Give yourself a weapon with a bad item index such as -1 (which I use for certain "non-weapon" weapons such as my cruddy Portal Gun), make sure you have a taunt action item...

In TF2, you can fake the Spy's m_iClass netprop to anything except TFClass_Spy (8) and enemy target IDs won't show. It looks like TFClass_Sniper (2) works the best; other classes cause the Spy's...
