No.. i have an Program that checks the bzip the files to the same folder.
now if the mp3 differs from the bz2 file (date or size) then it recreates its bz2 file and upload it via ftp.

yeah i did think abou the regex but its like not needed because i search for just 1 ending of a string so the best ist in this case to cut the last 4 out. thx!
