Not that I don't support the option of a toggle (I disable network updates myself), but just as an FYI, that list is generated from people caught cheating only from specific servers trusted by Kigen....

There are certain situations where a low mat_dxlevel can provide an advantage... Invisibility, for example. Older versions of DirectX and their cards can't properly display the transparency...

Me too! I used it to test changes to my main server before making them live. Well, I did until a few weeks ago.
I've since changed over from a listen server with plugins to running an exact copy...

Sourcemod and Metamod don't give you carte blanche access to the guts of the game; there's only so much you have access to, and so much you can do within that area of influence.

If you just remove the sockets extension it will, but removing sockets functionality from the plugin and recompiling works perfectly fine. Some folks are already working on a version that enables...

Mods that run on older versions of the engine can still set cmdrate on the clients. Tested on Hidden Source and confirmed with RateChecker...

Perhaps some sort of automatic mirror system on the master server that sees requests come from clients, and seamlessly doles out mirror links automatically? Kigen would then just add approved...

Kigen, is the source for 1.2.0.8 available anywhere? I can only seem to find 1.2.0.7 still. (Granted I haven't compared what's up now to the old 1.2.0.7, maybe the version number just didn't change)

Comment out the 4 lines that contain the word "network" in kigen-ac-pub.sp and recompile. It won't be officially supported however.

There seems to be a specific provision in the command spam section to allow 'sm' without triggering a kick. Would adding sm_ to that...

I thought of this as well since I run MM/SM locally for the same reason, but aren't there issues with trying to connect to a dedicated server from the same IP? Granted I haven't looked into it...

Something like this would solve things for Hidden:Source as well. The Hidden team (clientteam 3) needs to see through walls as a class feature.

I forgot that I added a few lines to help with compatibility with Hidden:Source, so my non-socket line numbers were a bit off. You literally just comment out the 4 lines that contain the word...

In the beta version, look at cvars.sp and you'll see a list of cvars near the top under CVars_OnPluginStart(). Just change ACTION_BAN to ACTION_KICK in all of them and recompile.
