are you sure L4DToolZ is loaded correctly - i don't see a reason this cvars not to work.
try to update metamod to last build, im using Metamod:Source version 1.8.0-dev Build ID: 681:a9f34c9f06e7-dev and it work fine for me |

ok, here is my addons dir without sourcemod. backup your addons dir and replase it with files of this zip. when server start try to set "sv_maxplayers"

Ok, here is what I found out ivailosp, I replaced my addons with what you gave me and put SourceMod back in it and typed sv_maxplayers and it worked, but I looked up and it still says Unknown Command. Here, I'll show you:

it look like, the plugin is loaded too late. i don't know why :/
as workaround you can make simple plugin to exec some .cfg for this commands |

i decided to upload my snapshot of l4dtoolz - it may fix crash for windows
also for the first time l4toolz support linux version of l4d2, but this is working version, so may not be stable and have this limitation: -sv_maxplayers limited to 18 -sv_unlock_sb_add is borken -no version for l4d1 |

Is there any way that we could make the server load those cvars at the right time? Like you said, they are not working if you put them in server.cfg, but i don't want to input them manually on every server i have every time i start them :(
By the way, really nice job on the quick porting for linux, i still haven't tested the plugin fully but afaik it works, the maximum players var on the status commands is right and the games get unreserved. EDIT: i just tested this plugin for loading the cvars, apparently the maxplayers is accepted but not the unreserve lobby one. The cvar is set to 1 but the games stays reserved. Code:

Also in our nix centos box we get this when manually setting in console:-

ivailosp could you please help me? I have everything installed and I cannot get more than 8 people in my server. I can get a 9th player but he gets stuck in Spectator and cannot join either side. What am I missing?
