Ok, I see that giving one version to the plugin even after I make some changes make a lot of confusion. I will try to include the git tag in the version of l4dtoolz to clear it out. Here is build from the test branch, It will report "1.0.0.9f-9-gde07eabf" and I want to see it in the logs. Then if it continue to fail try to load l4dtoolz as only one plugin for metamod. If it fail again I will need access to one of the failing server to debug it. The real problem is that for me and Danny_l4d signatures are ok, but this is not the case for Marcus101RR and The Nemesis.

L4D2 version gives init error when executing sv_maxplayers cmd.

I had the same "init error" .

I tried the tips showed by visual in the post #1135

and it seems to work fine:

you only have to take the l4dtoolz.txt of http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...1&d=1316240487 and use it to replace the one in l4dtoolz/gamedata folder of l4dtoolz(L4D2)-1.0.0.10RC3 http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...9&d=1272033373 and also choose only one of the files in l4dtoolz (.dll for windows or .so for linux)

It's so simple that even me, i did it. (It's my first server, got it only since 1 week, and i'm french so it's a little bit hard to understand how to do in english sometimes)

Im unable to get this plugin to read the correct number of slots, haveing tried all the fixes that im aware of how do i install the latest source versions? there doesnt appear to be a .zip in the repository. downtown does fix slot count but gives me loads of game play errors so cant use it.

How do I create a bot army using this plugin? I'm trying to use the commands listed, but they're not working. Am I doing something wrong?

And the sv_unlock_sb_add command isn't working either. It's giving me the init error.

I'm using Left 4 Dead 2 in Windows 7.

1.0.0.10RC3 works. (but sometimes crash?)

git test branch is buggy. (`callback` return value etc)

You should still be able to get the updated signature from the Linux server's server.so (or server_srv.so if they renamed it this update). Granted, Linux servers are less likely to have signatures break because they use the debug symbol name instead of a binary signature.

After this most recent source update I cannot get l4dtoolz to work again. I deleted my addon folders at the time so I had to reinstall meta and source mod and l4dtoolz. I tried both recent versions posted here and I am pretty sure I put them in the right place. When the server is full it shows the correct max visible players but when you try to join via console you get the server is full message and no one can spectate.

The issue I am having is that L4DToolz is installed and it shows 0/32 players on HLSW, however in game it shows 0/8 and when you try to join via direct IP, it says all the slots are full... so it is installed correctly, however it's not functioning anymore?

I use L4DToolz with Superversus combined.


Hopefully we can fix this together...



EDIT***: Using the zip provided by ivailosp on the previous page now shows the correct # of players on the in-game menu as well... showing 0/32 instead of 0/8 - THANK YOU KIND SIR!!

Ivail, windows version is running like a charm, no crashes. My server is running for about 48 hours. The only thing, you should not use -1 at the var visiblemaxplayers.

Going to test linux right now.

EDIT: Linux version is not working.

hm, he mean that the old version ended with _i486.so, so you may need to delete it
